The project
The venue changed. The nights still belong to the city.
The Gateway at SAIT connected a student campus with Calgary's wider music community. Alberta Music's venue directory described it as a 500–1,000 capacity room that hosted touring acts while making space for local and Western Canadian support artists, release shows, and community events.
This site is rebuilding a compact, source-linked event index and pairing it with maintained pathways into today's music scene. It does not claim to reproduce the former venue's website or speak for SAIT or SAITSA.
Credit the scene
Calgary artists, openers, workers, volunteers, and audiences are part of the record—not footnotes to touring acts.

The current guide sends people to organizations maintaining their own calendars, programs, and opportunities.
